This is one of our most popular trips each year. Come see tremendous numbers of wading birds including Wood Storks, Snowy Egrets, Great Egrets, White Ibis, Little Blue Herons, and LOTS of other species. Sometimes there are incredible numbers of these birds at this location.
DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE HEAT – WE CARAVAN THROUGH THE WETLANDS. There is very little walking. WE ARE GOING IN THE MORNING BETWEEN 9 AM AND NOON. THE TEMPERATURES EVEN DURING THIS HEAT WAVE ARE IN THE 80’S DURING THOSE HOURS. IT MIGHT GET TO 90 BY 11. We also will be in our air conditioned cars – not walking around.
There may still be some Painted Buntings, and we will make a special effort for those.
